followership versus leadership

Many times I am asked, ” what is Leadership?”
If you trawl the net for descriptions of Leadership, there are about 1.2 million pages that have the description of leadership somewhere in there.
I have read many books on the subject, been trained in the services on the principles of a good leader, qualities of an Instructor (in my opinion, anyone who instructs others in a subject is a leader), attended seminars and trainings on leadership practice, but the one thing that seperates a leader from their followers is ACTION.

This one thing makes the difference, the person that gets up to do something, but may not be trained, the one who says ‘ i’l give it a go’ , the one who makes the process happen….

A Leader makes things happen, even without knowing or trying, but sometimes it si just being strong enough to say, I can….
